I am now 72 years old and live in the community on my own. I came into PACE 6 years ago. I’ve had some health set backs like a hip replacement, loss of a toe affecting my balance and then a fractured ankle last year. I learned of PACE through a nurse at the rehabilitation facility and thought that it might be good for me. I’m glad I agreed to look into how PACE could help me.
I have an aide help me with showering, laundry and some light housekeeping. I love the activities here at PACE like bingo and the outings. The socialization here is very important to me. There is always something fun happening. I hope to go on the State Fair outing this year. I give PACE credit for how well I’m doing. It’s a good program.
